Our latest new product launch took place at the Marintec show in China.

Our CEO Mr Ben Reed was accompanied by Christchurch and Singapore team members for the launch which took place on our show stand. Richard Dunsheath, NZTE Trade Commissioner for China was also in attendance, plus others from Shanghai Ocean and NZTE.

A large crowd had gathered in anticipation of the launch at 3pm on Tuesday the 6th December. It began with a short speech by the Trade Commissioner who highlighted the importance of trade between New Zealand and China, and mentioned the success that we have enjoyed with Shanghai Ocean having sold in excess of 600 jets over the last 9 years.

Mr Ye from Shanghai Ocean our Distributor spoke and then Mr Reed presented the features and benefits of the new product. Accompanied by fireworks and glitter bombs, the red sheet was ceremoniously pulled back to reveal the HTX52 and two large Chinese lions appeared and to the beat of drums completed a rousing traditional dance, concluding with the painting of their eyes carried out by Mr Reed and Mr Ye. Once the ceremonies were over there were numerous photos taken and toasts to the success of the product and International trade-press journalists were also on hand for interviews.
